Biography

Professor Anthony M. Ette, attended St. Peter and Paul’s Primary School, Essene and later attended  Duke Town Secondary  School, Calabar(1966-1971). On graduation from Secondary School, he attended College of Education Uyo(1972-1975). He later attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1977 where he eventually obtained B.Sc.(1980), M.Sc. (1982} Ph.D.(1990). His research interest is in the areas of Mathematical Theory of Elasticity, Plasticity and Continuum Mechanics. He has published extensively in both local and foreign journals. He was first employed in FUTO in 1983 on the rank of Assistant Lecturer but has since risen to the rank of Professor. He has successfully supervised five doctorial and twenty-five students for Masters programme and is still counting.
