Biography

Helen-Gloria Ogechi Nwachukwu worked briefly with the Imo State Ministry of Public Utilities and Rural development before joining FUTO as an Assistant Lecturer in 2014.  She holds a BSc degree in Geology from the University of Calabar and an MSc, Petroleum Geology, from the University of Port Harcourt. Her interest areas comprise of Biostratigraphy / Paleontology,  Reservoir characterization, Environmental/ Forensic Palynology. She is currently undertaking her research/studies in Biosratigraphy/Paleontology at the University of Port Harcourt.

In addition to her teaching job, she also serves as an academic advisor to students. She is a vibrant member of professional bodies such as the Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS), National Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH) as well as other religious and volunteer causes.
