Biography

Engr. Dr Obi .C. Nwokonkwo joined the Federal University of Technology in March 2003 as an Assistant Lecturer. He has risen to become a senior lecturer and the Ag Head of Department of Information Technology, School of Computing and Information Technology. His research interests are in the areas of IT Project Management, Data Communication and Computer Networks and Digital Design. Before he joined FUTO in 2003, Engr Dr Nwokonkwo had worked in the following Organizations: Executive Engineer I – Ministry of Public Utilities, Owerri, Senior Computer Maintenance Engineer, Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department of National Civic Registration (DNCR), Owerri, and Maintenance Engineer Pamol Nigeria Limited (Dunlop group), Calabar. He contributed immensely to the smooth operation in the various places he worked. He has published several articles in both international and local journals. Engr Dr Nwokonkwo is a corporate Member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), a corporate Member of Computer Professionals of Nigeria (MCPN) and a COREN Registered Engineer.
