History of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office in FUTO The Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) was established in FUTO on the 31st of January 2008 by the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The Pioneer director of the unit was Dr C.B.C. Ohanuzue (now Professor Emeritus) who was succeeded by Engr. Prof. S.O.E. Ogbogu in the year 2012. Prof. Ogbogu completed his tenure and handed over to Prof. G. I. Nwankwo in 2014. In 2016, Prof. E.N. Ejike assumed the mantle of leadership and was later succeeded by Prof. D.C. Njoku who is presently at the helm of affairs in the unit.
