Biography

Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Genevive Chinyere Onuegbu (NEE Machiadikwe) is a senior lecturer in the Department of Polymer and Textile Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. She is a native of Eziudo, in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.

She obtained her  Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) Degree in Polymer and Textile Engineering, M.Sc. Degree in Polymer Science & Engineering and PhD in Polymer Science from Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

She is a member of notable professional bodies such as council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Polymer Engineers (IPE), Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN).

Her research areas are in a polymer composite, Textile Design, chemical processing of Textile, Geotextiles and Technical Textiles. She successfully supervised a PhD student and M.Sc. candidates, besides the numerous first-degree holders who went through her guardianship.

Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Genevive Chinyere Onuegbu is happily married to Pastor Kingsley C. Onuegbu and the marriage is blessed with four children.
