Biography

Cosmas K. Agubor is from Owerri in Imo State, Nigeria. He had his B.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) in 1991 and later M.Eng degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of PortHarcourt (UNIPORT) Rivers State, Nigeria in 2005. In 2015, he obtained his PhD in Communication Engineering Technology from FUTO. He worked as a Telecommunication Engineer in the Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL) from 1992 – 2008 in the Long Distance Communication (LDC) where he rose to the rank of Assistant Manager. He is experienced in RF and Optic Fiber systems. He is now a Senior Lecturer with FUTO in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He has several published articles including “A Study of the Radiation Characteristics of a Circular Loop Antenna Using Genetic Algorithm Technique,” and “A Comprehensive Review on the Feasibility and Challenges of Millimeter Wave in Emerging 5G Mobile Communication.”

Engr Dr C.K. Agubor is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN).

Experience

Industrial Experience: Radio and Multiplex Equipment maintenance, System installation-Digital Radio(16×2 Mb/s), Provision of data interconnectivity links – 64kb/s, 2Mb/s and 34Mb/s,Operations and Maintenance of SMA and SDH equipment, Optic fiber cable (surface and submarine) route planning and implementation.

Teaching Experience: Lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, research projects supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Mobile wireless communication and antenna systems.
