He is a native of Amaigbo Ancient kingdom in Nwangele L.G.A Imo State. He had his early education at Central School and Dick Tiger Memorial Secondary School Amaigbo. He is an alumnus of University of Nigeria.

He joined the services of FUTO in April 2002 as a Senior Security Officer. In 2005, he was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief Security Officer. For a better career prospects, he converted to Academic Planning and Development Unit in August 9, 2011.

He is a Christian, a happy married man with five children, and holds the traditional title of OGBUEHI in Amaigbo community. He loves Cycling, Reading and Adventure.
