• Data Manager/research assistant: Assessment of Hypertension and Practice of Doctors and Health workers in the Local Governments.  A Part of the project that seeks to learn more on the prevention of Hypertension in the Rural Communities, An IT Community work Experience Organized by CHIDICON.
  • Duties:  Data management, coding and entry for baseline Hypertension Management Survey  –  1998

• Laboratory Analyst: (Microbiology Department).
  • Duties include Running Microbiological tests and compilation of patients’ tests results, keeping proper records and participating in community development activities, these being part of the primary assignment during the one-year National Youths Service Corps, at General Hospital Owerri. Jan – December 2002.

  • Duties include: 
  • Preparation of media, specimens, samples and reagents for use in performing bacteriological and chemical tests, ensuring effective use of resources
  • Participation in research work and disseminating research findings
  • Assist in assessment and procurement of new laboratory equipment;
  • Indenting supply and recording of laboratory stores and equipment, ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
  • Carrying out maintenance, upkeep, servicing and operation  of laboratory equipment and supplies, paying attention to detail
  • Briefing and marking of practical
  • keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability; building and promoting partnerships across labs
  • Ensuring strict safety procedures, safety checks, proper laboratory methods  and safety precautions are used and followed
  • Providing advice assistance to students during practical activities and support to students during practical and project work
  • Researching on  a variety of Tropical diseases  and conditions,
  • Assist in training of subordinate staff and in staff improvement activities by answering questions and performing a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility promoting innovation and organizational learning.
