Writing personal mission statement that is meaningful is not something you can just pull out of thin air. There are some questions you can begin asking yourself every day that will move you closer to creating one:

As the SUG director of socials, what is my mission/ vision for Nigerian students?

  1. What is important?
  2. Where do I want to go?
  3. What does “the best” look like for me?
  4. How do I want to act?
  5. What kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?

With these questions above which i will provide my own answers, you should be able to draft out yours.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT AS THE DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS IS

To inspire positive change by creating a good social atmosphere for Nigerian students

To encourage, engage, and equip others to believe in the possibilities

To positively impact the life of every person I meet.

To encourage everyone I interact with on a daily basis.

WHERE DO I WANT TO GO

Many would say places, but believe me everywhere is nowhere!

I do not want to go where others went or where they currently are now, but where my dream lies, because it might be a better place than where i see men of valour are now. And for this to happen i must have to discover my dreams/goals first and most especially focus on my mission.

WHAT DOES “THE BEST” LOOK LIKE FOR ME?

HMMM….

WHAT IS WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL

If after my tenure am able  to look back and beat my chest with so much joy that i have done more than my predecessors did, for me, i think its a job well done… Maybe it could be tagged “THE BEST” (smiles)

WHAT DO I WANT TO ACT

I want to act in such a way that would sweep people off their feet or rather blow their mind that when the want to describe me they would describe me as the “Grand commander of social activities” (GCSA). You get the point now?

WHAT KIND OF LEGACY DO I WANT TO LEAVE BEHIND

Good legacies are what legends are known for.

I want to set a standard that if i leave behind my successors will probably put in all their best to attain before they could think about beating the record.

I want to serve Nigerian student as a true leader should, so in future i would be recommended for greater opportunities.

They say, to whom much is given much is expected. Let’s make hay while the sun shine.

I will always remember where i come from.

Yours in service,
